Abstract
This research is motivated by the low level of resilience among socio-economically vulnerable women and trauma survivors at BPRSW Yogyakarta, who frequently exhibit maladaptive behaviors due to social stigma and distressing past experiences. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of self-love therapy intervention in enhancing the resilience of these social welfare service recipients (PPKS). The research methodology employed is quantitative, utilizing a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design. The research subjects consisted of 11 individuals (PPKS) selected based on specific criteria. The data collection instrument used a resilience scale modified from Edith Grotberg's theory. Data analysis techniques utilized the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, a non-parametric statistical method, processed via SPSS. The results of the Wilcoxon hypothesis test yielded a significance value (Asymp. Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.046. Since the p-value < 0.05, it is statistically concluded that the self-love therapy intervention is significantly effective in increasing the resilience of PPKS at BPRSW Yogyakarta. Furthermore, descriptive analysis showed an increase in the mean resilience score from 68 in the pre-test to 74.41 in the post-test. Qualitative observations also indicated positive behavioral changes in the subjects, such as increased courage in self-expression and greater openness in sharing emotional wounds.
