Abstract
The Leadership Academy is a non-formal training institution focused on developing soft leadership skills through various programs such as Leadership Training, Achievement Motivation Training (AMT), Outbound, and Basic Leadership Training. This research is motivated by the importance of skill acquisition in the era of globalization, where many training sessions fail to achieve optimal results due to weak planning and coordination in event management. It is crucial for non-formal educational institutions to continue developing as learning platforms for students to develop their skills. Therefore, this study aims to describe the implementation of event management in Leadership Academy activities and its contribution to the development of participants' soft leadership skills. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collection techniques including interviews, participant observation, and documentation. Subjects included the founder, director, alumni, and Leadership Academy team. Data analysis employed the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, which encompasses data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data credibility was assessed using triangulation of techniques and sources, followed by data verification from data sources, to ensure that the information obtained in the research report aligns with the intended meaning of the data sources. The results showed that the implementation of event management at the Leadership Academy was implemented through Goldblatt's five stages: research, design, planning, coordination, and evaluation. Each stage was conducted systematically, although the Academy still had some dynamics and weaknesses. However, each Leadership Academy activity had a significant, tangible impact on the development of participants' soft skills, including effective communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and self-confidence.
