Abstract

This study aims to determine how the implementation of the public library function in the Sukoharjo Village Library "Smart Sukoharjo Generation" Sleman Regency Yogyakarta. This study uses a qualitative research method. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis in this study uses the Miles & Huberman model, namely by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. As for testing the credibility of the data, the researcher used triangulation and Member check. The results of this study are 1) The information function in the Sukoharjo Village Library is in accordance with the function of the public library. The library implements this function by providing library collections for all groups. 2) The educational function is in accordance with the function of the public library. The implementation of this function is by conducting mobile libraries, learning to cook, socializing MPASI, and providing collections needed by the community. 3) The cultural function is in accordance with the function of the public library. By implementing this function by conducting dance training activities, karawitan training, and providing collections related to culture. 4) The recreational function in the Sukoharjo Village Library is in accordance with the function of the public library, through activities visiting recreational places, library visits, and with adequate collections and facilities. 5) The research function is in accordance with the function of the public library. Its application is by having a collection that can provide references for researchers.
