Abstract
The lack of contextual and local potential-based learning media in the biology learning process causes students to experience difficulties in understanding the concept of plant classification in the biodiversity material. This study aims to determine the diversity of medicinal plants of the Zingiberaceae family in Galuhtimur Village, Brebes and to determine the design, feasibility, and practicality of the e-booklet on the diversity of medicinal plants of the Zingiberaceae family as a supporting medium for biology learning. This research is a research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model which is limited to the development stage. In this study, 14 species were found belonging to 7 genera, namely Curcuma, Zingiber, Kaempferia, Alpinia, Etlingera, Elettaria and Boesenbergia. This research was developed into an e-booklet. The results of the validity test assessment by material experts fall into the very high validity category with a V value of 0.825 and a very high reliability value with an alpha value of 0.9375. The validity test assessment by media experts falls into the very high validity category with a V value of 0.98295 and a very high reliability value with an alpha value of 0.8333. The validity test assessment by biology teachers obtained a V value of 0.905 with a very high validity category and a high reliability value with an alpha value of 0.760234. Student responses obtained a high validity value with a reliability test value of 0.9423. Thus, the E-Booklet on the Diversity of Medicinal Plants of the Zingiberaceae Family is considered very feasible and practical to be used as a supporting medium for learning in the classroom.
