Abstract

Marriage is a crucial stage in human life, binding two individuals not only legally but also emotionally and socially. In this context, the emotional maturity of prospective brides and grooms is crucial to ensuring the continuity and harmony of their marital relationship. However, not all individuals who decide to marry are emotionally prepared. Therefore, premarital guidance serves as a means to prepare prospective brides and grooms for the challenges that may arise in married life. Through a structured premarital guidance program, prospective brides and grooms are expected to learn to better recognize, manage, and express their emotions. This is crucial for building healthy communication and reducing the risk of conflict in their marital relationships. This study aims to determine how premarital guidance programs can influence the emotional maturity of prospective brides and grooms before they enter married life. The research subjects were prospective brides and grooms aged 18-35 who registered at the Kota Gede Office of Religious Affairs (KUA). The results of the study show that premarital guidance can increase the emotional maturity of prospective brides and grooms in building a harmonious and happy household.
