Abstract

UMKM Bantalindo, has frequently encountered stock-out problems resulting from a procurement process that relies solely on experience rather than a structured inventory control method. This study aims to analyze the inventory control of semi gress foam and leather foam using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method, EOQ with quantity discount, safety stock, and re-order point (ROP), as well as demand forecasting using the Holt-Winters, double exponential smoothing, and moving average methods. The data used consists of historical demand records covering the period from March 2025 to February 2026. The analysis reveals that the EOQ with quantity discount method yields a more optimal total inventory cost compared to the standard EOQ method. For semi gress foam, the purchasing scheme exceeding 500 kg produces a total inventory cost of Rp1.738 billion, reflecting a saving of Rp19.5 million over the standard EOQ. For leather foam, the purchasing scheme exceeding 600 kg yields a total inventory cost of IDR 496 million, achieving a saving of IDR 58.6 million. The safety stock and ROP values for semi gress foam are 793 kg and 1,352 kg, respectively, while those for leather foam are 545 kg and 882 kg. The Holt-Winters method produces the most accurate forecast for both products, with projected demand of 61.075,75 kg for semi gress foam and 56.713,38 kg for leather foam in the subsequent period.
