Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the communication network of Brigata Curva Sud, a supporter group of the football club PSS Sleman, contributes to the regeneration of its members. Regeneration is understood as the process of ensuring organizational continuity through the renewal of human resources and the transmission of core values (manifesto) from one generation to the next. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, drawing on communication network theory by Everett Rogers and D. Lawrence Kincaid, which identifies key roles such as cliques, opinion leaders, gatekeepers, cosmopolites, liaisons, bridges, and isolates, as well as organizational regeneration theory by Edgar H. Schein, which focuses on quantitative growth (increase in members) and qualitative internalization of values. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with key informants (including a tribune conductor and a tour division coordinator), observations, and documentation, and validated using expert triangulation. The findings reveal that BCS's communication network is collective, participatory, and community-based, reflecting the principle of "No Leader Just Together." Key actors such as opinion leaders (capotifo/dirigen), gatekeepers (community coordinators), and bridges— play central roles in distributing information and maintaining ideological consistency. Regeneration occurs organically through 446 verified local, regional, educational, and even international communities (cliques), without a formal cadreship system. However, challenges include the emergence of isolates (members with limited communication ties), especially among new members who joined after BCS gained fame (the "overpride" phenomenon), and disrupted value transmission due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While BCS successfully increases membership quantitatively, maintaining the quality of manifesto internalization remains a challenge. The study concludes that BCS's communication network functions as a critical social infrastructure for regeneration, yet it requires systematic strengthening of value education and integration mechanisms to ensure sustainable supporter continuity
