Abstract
Married couples who memorize the Qur'an experience unique marital dynamics as they fulfill their roles as spouses while maintaining their Qur'anic memorization. This condition makes meaning in life an important aspect to be explored within the context of married life. This study aimed to describe meaning in life, identify the factors influencing it, and analyze its dynamics among married couples who memorize the Qur'an. This study employed a qualitative descriptive method with a phenomenological approach. The participants consisted of two married couples who memorize the Qur'an residing in Madureso Village, Temanggung District, Temanggung Regency. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, and were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña interactive model. The findings revealed that meaning in life among married couples who memorize the Qur'an is reflected in their closeness to Allah, inner peace, and family harmony. Meaning in life is influenced by spiritual factors, role distribution, spousal support, the tahfidz community, and time management, and develops through the processes of muraja'ah (Qur'an revision), maintaining memorization, and adapting to various life challenges. The study concludes that memorizing the Qur'an within married life serves as a source of meaning that continuously strengthens the couples' spiritual, psychological, and relational dimensions.
