Abstract
Unemployment is a persistent issue facing various regions in Indonesia, including Cimahi City. According to 2024 data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), Cimahi City ranks among the regencies and cities with the highest unemployment rates in both West Java Province and Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the impact of the average years of schooling, the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) growth rate, and investment on the unemployment rate in Cimahi City during the 2010–2024 period. A quantitative approach was employed using secondary time-series data obtained from the Cimahi City BPS website and the Cimahi City open data portal. Multiple linear regression was used as the analytical method. The results indicate that, individually, the average years of schooling has a negative but insignificant effect on the unemployment rate, and the GRDP growth rate has a negative and significant effect, whereas investment has a positive but insignificant effect. However, when analyzed simultaneously, the average years of schooling, GRDP growth rate, and investment collectively exert a significant influence on the unemployment rate in Cimahi City.
