Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing Generation Z's intention to use subsidized Sharia mortgage financing through the lens of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). It incorporates the variables of Attitude, Subjective Norm, and Perceived Behavioral Control, while adding Knowledge of Mortgage as an independent variable and Intention as the dependent variable. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing a survey of 235 Generation Z respondents in Java who had been employed for at least one year and held a Sharia bank account. Data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with SmartPLS 4 software. The results indicate that Attitude and Perceived Behavioral Control have a positive and significant effect on Intention, whereas Subjective Norm and Knowledge of Mortgage have a positive but insignificant effect on Intention. These findings suggest that Generation Z's intention to use subsidized Sharia mortgage financing is driven more by positive evaluations of the product and confidence in their ability to access the financing than by social influence or their level of knowledge regarding home financing.
