Abstract

The development of information and communication technology demands innovation in teaching materials that support flexible learning and the development of critical thinking skills, one of which is through e-modules containing Problem Based Learning (PBL). This study aims to develop an emodule on the circulation system containing Problem Based Learning, determine the quality of the e-module on the circulation system containing Problem Based Learning, and determine students' responses to the developed teaching materials. This type of research is R&D research using the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) which is limited to the Develop stage. The emodule was assessed using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire sheet addressed to 1 material expert, 1 media expert, 5 peer reviewers, 1 biology teacher and 15 students. The results of the study in the form of an e-module on the circulation system containing Problem Based Learning, the quality of the developed e-module is included in the Very Good (SB) category with a percentage of 95.66%, students' responses to the e-module were received Strongly Agree (SS) with a percentage of 90.21%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the Biology e-module developed has Very Good quality, so it is suitable for use as teaching material by teachers and students in the learning process.
