Abstract

The impetus of this research is that safeguarding local culture is an urgent strategy to protect the identity and sustainability of regional cultural heritage. Buleleng Regency has a lot of local cultural wealth which should be documented and passed on so that it can still be enjoyed by the public. One of such method is a web-based Local Cultural Digital Archive System designed. Nevertheless, the success of implementing such a system largely depends on how much users get used to the technology. This research is intended to explain how several factors influence the user acceptance of web based Local Cultural Digital Archive System in Buleleng Regency, using Extended Technology Acceptance Model (Extended TAM). A quantitative design was used for this research, by spreading questionnaires to 120 respondents including society, college students and the Buleleng Regency Department of Culture employees. The section variables previously analyzed are System Quality, Information Quality, Trust, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness and Behavioral Intention to Use. Data collection and analysisWe analysed the data using Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The study results indicate that perceived ease of use positively and significantly influences perceived usefulness and behavioral intention to use. Perceived Usefulness also has a positive influence on Behavioral Intention to Use. System Quality and Trust are also positively related to Perceived Ease of Use. The conclusion of this study is the ease of use and benefits are the main factors that influence the intention to use Buleleng Regency Local Cultural Digital Archive System.
