Abstract

KSPPS BMT Beringharjo Yogyakarta is a Sharia-based savings, loan, and financing cooperative serving as a microfinance institution that plays a strategic role in supporting the financing of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This study analyzes the risk mitigation strategies of KSPPS BMT Beringharjo Yogyakarta. Employing a qualitative case study approach and a 5×5 risk matrix, five key risks were identified. Credit/financing and liquidity risks (score of 16) fell into the high-risk zone, followed by strategic and market risks (score of 12). Operational-technological and reputational risks (score of 9) were classified as moderate. The study formulates a three-phase mitigation plan: short-term (0–3 months), medium-term (3–6 months), and long-term (6–12 months). The findings emphasize that mitigation efforts must be integrated, given the interdependencies among the various risks.
