Abstract
This study aims to determine the role of the Balai Pintar Library as a learning resource for the Pengkol Village community. This type of research is descriptive qualitative which examines the role of the library as a learning resource for the community. The subjects of this study were the managers of the Balai Pintar Library and the community of Pengkol Village. The data collection method was through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis used data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Data validity testing used triangulation techniques, member checks and extended observations. The results of this study showed that the Balai Pintar Library realized its role as a learning resource by acting as a learning facilitator, learning tool, collection provider and realizing community involvement. These efforts are in line with the aspects of learning resources according to AECT (Association for Educational Communications and Technology) which is the theory in this study. The Pengkol Village community responded positively to every role carried out, this shows that the Balai Pintar Library has a role as a learning resource for the Pengkol Village community.
