Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of capital structure, sales growth, environmental performance, and good corporate governance, as proxied by independent commissioners, audit committee, and foreign ownership, on the profitability of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2025 period. This study employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design and uses secondary data obtained from companies’ financial reports. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, resulting in 48 companies with a total of 288 observations. The results show that capital structure has a negative effect on profitability, while sales growth has a positive effect. Meanwhile, independent commissioners, audit committee, and foreign ownership have no effect on profitability. Simultaneously, all independent variables have an effect on company profitability.
