Abstract

This research aims to find out to know the communication patterns are developed at the Library of SMA Negeri 1 Yogyakarta Cangkringan which is reflected in the relationship between the principal communication with school library staff. The research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were principals and school library staff at the Library of SMA Negeri 1 Yogyakarta Cangkringan. While the object of research is the pattern of communication between the principal and the school library staff at the Library of SMA Negeri 1 Yogyakarta Cangkringan. Methods of collecting data through interviews, documentation and observation. Test the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. Data analysis using descriptive qualitative qualitative data analysis process followed by analysis of Miles and Huberman, who is described in the following three steps: data reduction, data display, and conclutison drawing and verification. The results showed a pattern of communication that occurs between the principal and the head librarian librarians circular form of communication patterns. Circular communication patterns in SMA Negeri 1 Cangkringan Library has components consisting of: a form of communication, types of communication, communication characteristics, communication processes and communication in the Library of SMA Negeri 1 Cangkringan. Forms of communication that occurs between are: interpersonal communication (interpersonal) and group communication. This type of communication that was developed at the Library of SMA Negeri 1 Cangkringan are formal and informal communication. Communication characteristics in SMA Negeri 1 Cangkringan Library is seacara to-face communication (face to face) and the verbal and non-verbal communication. Communication process that occurs in the Library of SMA Negeri 1 Cangkringan is the primary communication process. And in the Library of SMA Negeri 1 Cangkringan there are four types of communication made, namely: communication with superiors, subordinates communication, communication on others, communication with visitors. This study suggested that housekeeping communications from the school library staff principals should be improved further to progress in SMA Negeri 1 Cangkringan Library.
