Abstract

The core concern of this research revolves around how users’ perceived usability shapes their acceptance of the UIN Sunan Kalijaga E-Learning platform, examined through a combined lens of the System Usability Scale (SUS) and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Data were gathered via questionnaires distributed to 93 active student users, and the subsequent quantitative analysis employed SUS to gauge usability levels, while SmartPLS 4 served to test both the measurement (outer) and structural (inner) models for exploring inter-variable relationships. An average SUS score of 73.4 positioned the application within the Good, Acceptable, and Grade C ranges, confirming that its usability performance is reasonably satisfactory. All proposed hypotheses found empirical support, as perceived usability exerted a positive and statistically significant influence on Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, and Behavioral Intention to Use (with p-values consistently below 0.05). These outcomes point to a clear implication: enhancing the system’s usability not only strengthens users’ beliefs about its ease and practical benefits but also reinforces their willingness to keep using the application. Accordingly, the findings offer actionable insights for institutional managers seeking to refine both the platform’s quality and its overall adoption among the academic community.
