Abstract

This article deals with the status and the roles of al-Maun Mosque's takmir (organizer) in empowering Muslim community surrounding the Mosque. To discus the subject observation and critical interview are exercised. Besides, theories of status, of role, and of social interaction, and the strategy of empowerment are included. This article has shown us that the Takmir has played a very important role in empowering the community surrounding the mosque specially in religious, economic and work-ethic aspects. Thus, this article has shown a distinguished example for other takmirs. It is also benefitial for the community that the existence of the Takmir has given positive impacts for it
