Abstract
This article discusses the relation between Islamic education and ecological crisis. Islamic education has been criticized for being conservative in response to the socio-empirical problems, including ecological issue. For this reason, the author argues, it is necessary to incorporate ecological issue within the discourse and practice of Islamic education in order to make the latter more living and responsive toward social issue.
