Abstract
Technology is an integral part of culture; the more advance of a culture, the more sophisticated technology is employed. Educational technology has developed as an autonomous body of knowledge, and its use in education, including Islamic education, is necessary because it contributes in growing and developing education itself. The author differentiates between educational technology and technology of education. Educational technology aims at growing technological attitude and techno-logical-quotient so that people having motivation, initiation, and creativity. Technology of education, on the other hand, is technology that is designed to support all educational activities comprehensively. The author argues that educational technology and technology of education should be taught in Islamic education,
