Abstract

The changes of value orders, recently, has been caused by sociocultural transformations, locally, nationally regionaly, or even globally. This socio-cultural transformations will be tackled if the changes of value orders itself were succesfully handled, even it has an impact to our socio-cultural lives. Religion, mainly via its institutions, may be able to control those value orders, namely able to choose, socialize and protect the pertaining values, especially religious values. What we meant by these institutions is Pesantren or Islamic boarding schools, whereas it has privileges basically on the kiai figure and his boarding system. When the time has made the public schools superior, and at the sama time, the decline of the factions of family education, like what we peruse nowdays, the significant of value intemalization undoubtedly became a model or alternative that we should to use it in the near future.
