Abstract
This article aimed to emphasis the models of religious practice of local people in Tutup Ngisor, Lereng Merapi. Syncretism among religion and local habits by the people in Tutup Ngisor seem as negotiation. Negotiation mentioned the existence of their own local habits combined by religion, which their own belief. Finally, its conclude that syncretism purposed to protect local habit from perished
