Abstract

This study aims to: 1) get an assessment of practical skills in science and technology are qualified to measure the achievement of scientific literacy and practical skills for students of SMP Negeri 1 Majenang Class VII Bilingual, and 2) determine the achievement of scientific literacy and practical skills of students of SMP Negeri 1 Majenang Class VII Bilingual measured by assessment of practical skills in science and technology development results. This research is to adapt the model ADDIE development, which is limited to the implementation stage. Validation of the assessment is done through expert testing and empirical validation. Empirical validation is done with product moment correlation analysis. While the determination of reliability by using the KR 20 formula. In addition to the validity and reliability of the test was also carried out discrimination and difficulty indices to get good items, as well as product quality testing by experts and natural science teachers to determine the feasibility of the product. The data used in the empirical analysis is obtained from trials involving 22 students of SMP Negeri 1 Majenang Bilingual Class VIII Bilingual. While the data used to measure the achievement of scientific literacy and practical skills gained from the implementation stage involving 36 students of SMP Negeri 1 Majenang Class VII Bilingual. The results of empirical analysis states that all items making up the instrument has content validity, construction, and items as well as reliable. Results of research and development is a product in the form of assessment of practical skills in science and technology that has a very good category with the percentage of ideals 97.85%. The results of implementation analysis declare that the mastery of scientific literacy of students of SMP Negeri 1 Majenang reached 64.25%, while the mastery of practical skills, including procedural skills reached 65.00%, interpretation skills reached 64.29%, observation skills reached 63.89%, reported skills reached 62.57%, manipulative skills reached 57.41%, and drawing skills reached 56.75%.
