Abstract

EPrints is often used as an open archive for research papers, and the default configuration reflects this, but it is also used for other things such as images, research data, audio archives - anything that can be stored digitally. EPrints is developed at the School of Electronics and Computer Science, University of Southampton, UK, with the first version of the software publicly released in late 2000. By its integrated advanced search, extended metadata and other features, the software can be customized to local requirements. The research was intended to know wether eprints quality for digital library management software at library of Sunan Kalijaga state islamic university Yogyakarta. This research uses the method of qualitative descriptive. The method of its data collection uses inteview, observation, and documentation. To analyze the data is based on the theory of Miles and Huberman with three steps : 1). The data reduction; it focused of the research topic, 2). The data presentation ; it show on the strength of observation, interview and documentation, and 3). Collecting conclusion; it concludes the result of analysis after the step analysis finished. Whereas the testing of data validity in this research is carried out with using four methods, those are credibility, tranferability, dependability, and confirmability. According to the analysis of some variable used, the result acquired was that all variable was good quality. With this result, it can be summarized that Eprints has good quality and proper to be used as digital library software. Keywords: eprints, software, library, digital library
