Abstract

This research to know librarian information literacy in Central Library of University Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta of the Big6 model. Method wich used in this research is quantitative descriptive method. This research is in cluding research of population, where all population made by research sample. Population in this research is all librarian in Library of University Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, amounting to 24 people. The level of librarian information literacy at the Central Library , University Gadjah Mada of The Big6 model based largely able to understand the topic a problem that must be solved before scanning in 70.8 % mark librarians can define and identify information needs . A small part of the mark with 62.5 % of librarians can assign all the resources that can be used and select the best sources . Most of the others can search for resources by using the OPAC at the 75 % mark to identify and locate resources . Most others can view the information in a source and make the essence of the mark of 70.8 % can perform an analysis of the information that has been obtained and can use the tools in the work product information . While most of the other librarians also do not face any difficulty in completing the information results in the 75 % mark can define the settlement process information effectively
