Abstract

The purpose of this research to describe the level usability of non package books collection in SMK 4 Yogyakarta’s Library based of circulation in 2011-2013 and to describe the highest usability on any number of classes based on the published book. This research is descriptive quantitative research. The population in 1211 of the title and 2081 copies then taken with an error level of 5 % was obtained 301 titles. Methods of data collection used observation, documentation, and interviews. The research instrument used was a checklist. The results of this research at an average of usability is 36.75 %, means nearly half of non packages book collection is used. The highest of usability on class 700 is 61.53 %, meaning mostly collection is used. The lowest usability on class 000 is 0.00 %, meaning the collection is not used. While the highest usability to any number of classes based on the published book, on class 000 is a book published in 2004 with a number of usability 0, on class 100 are books published in 2010 which 13 times of use, on class 200 are books published in 1994 and 1999 which 2 times of use, on class 300 are books published in 2000 which 16 times of use, on class 400 are books published in 2010 which 4 times of use, on class 500 are books published in 1999 which one time of use, on class 600 are books published in 2009 which 57 times of use, on class 700 are books published in 2009 which 10 times of use, on class 800 are books published in 2010 which 39 times of use, and on class 900 are books published in 2004 which 9 times of use. Recommendation for libraries are to increase the number of books that use a lot, and to replace books that are never used with new books.
