Abstract

This study aims to determine the Student Perceptions about the Role of Library For Support Learning in SD Sriharjo Imogiri Bantul Yogyakarta. Fomulation of the problem is how the student perceptions about the role of library for support learning in SD Sriharjo Imogiri Bantul Yogyakarta. This type of research is a descriptive study using a quantitative approach with a sample of 45 respondents. The technique used in this study is accidental sampling. Data was collected through observation, documentation, interviews, and questionnaires as the primary method. The results obtained can be summarized as follows: the average value of the role of library for sub-variable of fungtion of library is 2,65, so the average is categorized as good. For sub-variable of collection of library is 3,06, so the average is categorized as good. For sub-variables of library room is 3,06, so the average is considered good. For sub-variable of the role of library overall,the average is 2,83, so the average is categorized as good. Results of this study showed that students' perceptions about the role of library for support learning in SD Sriharjo Imogiri Bantul Yogyakarta is good, but there are several things to consider, such as provision of information technology facilities, add a collection of library books, tidying the desk librarian and establish good communication with students.
