Abstract

This Research show that s objected toanalyze user’s motivation level in the use of manuscript collections at Sonobudoyo Museum. This research is a quantitative study with 89 respondent as samples. Variable in this research use user’s motivation in the use of manuscript collection as single variable. Data collection methods in this research using observation, documentation, and questionnaires. Mean and grandmean formula is used to data analyze. The results show that user’s motivation level in the use of manuscript collections at Sonobudoyo Museum is high. It is showed from grandmean value from two variable with nine indicators. First subvariable as intrinsic motives consist of self perception with the value of mean is 3.14; self assesment 3.06; hopes 3.04; needs is 2.64;job satisfaction 3.06. the second variable as extrinsic motives consist of nature of work with 3.06 rating; working groups 3.03; environmental situation 3.04; and reward system 2.78. Based on mean value of each indicators, grandmean value of this research is 2.98. it means users motivation level in the use of manuscript collection is high.
