Abstract
This research aimed at proving the existence the effect of the availability of collection to use the interest read student in the library SDIT Alam Nurul Islam Yogyakarta. Type of this research is descriptive quantitative research. The subject of this research were student of SDIT Alam Nurul Islam and the object were the effect of the availability of collection to use the interest read student in library SDIT Alam Nurul Islam Yogyakarta .Variabel in research were availability of collection (independent variable) and interest in reading (the dependent variable). Methods of data collection using questionnaires, documentation, interviews, and observations. The Analysis was performed with the hypothesis test product moment correlation and the data were analyzed by mean formula. Results of the analysis showed that the availability of collection in the Library of SDIT Alam Nurul Islam Yogyakarta in both categories, with a score of 3.04. Students read in the Library of SDIT Alam Nurul Islam Yogyakarta in both categories with a score of 3.00. The influence of the availability of collection of the students' reading interest in the category enough with correlation value of 0.519. This can be seen from the correlation between variables X (Availability of collection) and Y (interest in reading). In conclusion, the effect of the availability of collection of the students' interest in reading at the Library of SDIT Alam Nurul Islam Yogyakarta stated quite influential in the category (0.40 to 0.60) with a correlation coefficient of 0.519.
