Abstract

This research aims to determine extension of collections loan service through social media facebook at Library of Social Political Science Faculty of Gadjah Mada University. Type of this research is quantitative. Variable of this research is a single variable that is the utilization of loan extension services through facebook at Library of Social Political Science Faculty of Gadjah Mada University. The sampling technique in this research was accidental sampling. The sample in this research amounted to 4829 library user. Data collection methods in this research was observation, documentation, and interviews. Data analysis used a percentage formula and further test a simple regression analysis to examine the results of the percentage of the data obtained. The results of the count with a percentage formula which is to service with facebook amounted to 64.43% and to a fine of 13%. Furthermore, to test a simple analysis obtained r count r ≥ 0.723 0.576 table. So it can be said to be significant, meaningful service with facebook significantly more beneficial. So the results of these calculations is known that the extension of the loan collection service through social media facebook based calculations can be said to be useful.
