Abstract

The research was aimed to find out the influence of library function toward teaching and learning process in SMA Negeri 1 Sumber. The research design used quantitative research. The subjects in this research were mambers of library in SMA Negeri 1 Sumber and the object in this research was the influence of library function toward teaching learning process by information literary approach. The techniques used in the collecting data were questionnaires, observation, interview and documentation. The population of the research were members of library in SMA Negeri 1 Sumber as many as 423 students and the number of sample determined by 80 respondents. The technique of taking sampling used proportionate stratified random sampling method. The data analysis used percentages. The result of the research were: (1) The result of simple linier regression test showed that Y = 21,047 + 1,213 X and R Square was 0.495. It meant 49.5% the function of library was influence to the teaching and learning process and 50.5% the teaching and learning process was influenced by other factors, (2) The probability from anova table was 0,000 and sig (0,000) (0,05). (3) The result of statistic analysis verificated with correlation table showed that correlation of library function and teaching and learning process was 0,704. It meant that correlation from variables was strong and positive. So, Ho was rejected and Ha was received it could be conclude that library function influence to teaching and learning process. The researcher suggest to SMA Negeri 1 Sumber Library to increase library function quality especially how to make effective and ethical used of information and learn skill of search information. The result of data analysis from skill to make effective and ethical used of information was 19,67% and skill was 23,12%. SMA Negeri 1 Sumber Library increase library function quality in order to increase collections that support teaching and learning process because from data analysis 50,5% teaching and learning process influeced by other factors.
