Abstract

This research aimed to find out the impact of library outsourcing to job relation, salary, and Library Technical Staff career (case study in Library of Yogyakarta). This research is case study with descriptive qualitative technique. The subject of this research is the library technical staff and the object of this study is the impact to the staff in the Library of Yogyakarta. To collect the data the writer used observation method, interview, and documentation.Writer analyzed the data by using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The validity test of this research used data credibility test by eximining data through continual research, increase the perserseverance, and member check. The result of this research obtained that library outsorching practice had a positif and negative effect for job relation, salary, and also library technical staff career the Library of Yogyakarta. The positive effects are the library technical staff get many profits by this job relation, and they enjoy their job as library technical staff of Library of Yogyakarta, and also the job trainig is very profitable for increasing the ability of library technical staff of Library of Yogyakarta The negative effect of this practice is not all of the library technical staff understand about their right and obligation. There are so many difficulties for library technical staff to get their right, misunderstanding sometimes makes them feel jealous, and fades the loyalty of library technical staff. This research suggest that the Library of Yogyakarta can revise the regulation about the program that will be assigned to library technical staff, and the faculty of letter can clarify the job letter with library technician including it’s right and oblihation.
