Abstract

This study aimed to determine the factors that motivate the students for using the internet at school as a source of the educationals information and to determine the student perceptions for using internet the schools of school as a source of the educationals information in SMK Negeri 4 Yogyakarta. This research is a quantitative descriptive approach. The population is all students of SMK Negeri 4 Yogyakarta for 1682 students, while the sample is determined by the accidental from school students who use the internet as a source of the educational information. To obtain the completed data, the author uses the data collection method were observation, questionnaire, interview and documentation. Analysis of the research data with descriptive statistics using a percentage. The conclusion of this research is the motivation of students at schools for using the internet as a source of educational information in SMK Negeri 4 Yogyakarta are influenced by intrinsic motivation factors and extrinsic motivation factors, while the perceptions of students in schools using the internet as a source of educational information in SMK N 4 Yogyakarta is known very well. This research is expected to provide the input to the organizer SAS (Self-Access Study) SMK Negeri 4 Yogyakarta for defend his ministry. Thus, the schools are expected to use the internet as a source of the educational information in SMK Negeri 4 Yogyakarta, better. div
