Abstract

In its development, computer technology is growing and continues to support human life, not least in the health world. Recommendation system is a model application of the results of observations of the state and the user desires. The purpose of system development work is based on the theory of the Big Five Personality is to provide an assessment of the person and make recommendations in accordance with the personality of the job held by the person based on the Big Five Personality of the science of psychology. So that ordinary people no longer need to see a psychologist directly, but only through this application one can know what kind of personality and know specific recommendations for the types of jobs that interest. System development methods used in this study is the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle). The stages in the SDLC include, identifying and analyzing problems, design, implementation, and testing and evaluation. Application recommendation system is a web-based programming languages PHP and MySQL as the database management system. The algorithm used in this system is the K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm. This application is asking for input in the form of a statement in accordance with the personality of the client, then the output generated by the system's recommendations form the type of personality that is owned by the client in the form of a graph with a description of the personality. It also gives advice on the type of work that suits his personality. Recommendation systems work by the Big Five Personality can be used as a tool to determine the type of work that suits one's personality. With this system is expected to provide a solution for people who still have not been able to determine the appropriate job to facilitate consultation and find results quickly and anywhere because this application can be run online using an internet connection as well as walking through the neighborhood localhost.
