Abstract

ABSTRAK Dalam penulisan skripsi yang berjudul pengaruh musik terhadap kenyamanan membaca pengguna perpustakaan Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, penulis merumuskan ada tidak pengaruh musik terhadap kenyamanan membaca pengguna perpustakaan Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Penulisan skripsi ini penulis mempunyai alasan bahwa kenyamanan membaca sangat penting, karena dengan kenyamanan dalam beraktivitas membaca membuat pembaca akan bisa santai dan dapat berkonsentrasi dengan baik, sehingga akan tercapai tujuan. Tujuan dari penulisan skripsi ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak pengaruh musik terhadap kenyamanan membaca, dan seberapa besar pengaruhnya. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut dipergunakan alat pengambilan data berupa kuesioner, wawancara dan observasi, dan studi kepustakaan serta laporan tertulis yang dikeluarkan oleh perpustakaan Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Dalam penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif yang datanya dikuantitatifkan untuk mempermudah penghitungan. Sifat dari penelitian ini adalah Korelasi sebab-akibat. Rumus yang digunakan yaitu Koefisien Korelasi Product Moment untuk menguji hipotesa dan dilanjutkan dengan analisis regresi untuk memprediksi seberapa besar pengaruh antara kedua variabel tersebut. Bertolak dari pemaparan diatas dapat dicapai kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara musik terhadap kenyamanan membaca pengguna perpustakaan Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Univesitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh nilai koefisien korelasinya sebesar 0,389, dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Dan nilai Koefisien Determinasinya adalah 0,151. Artinya terdapat pengaruh yang substansial antara kedua variabel. Sehingga Hipotesa yang menyatakan ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara musik terhadap kenyamanan membaca pengguna perpustakaan Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta diterima. Sedangkan besarnya pengaruh yang ditimbulkan karena musik terhadap kenyamanan membaca adalah 15,1% dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. ABSTRACT This research entitled the Influence of Music toward Reading Convenience of the User Languages and Arts Faculty Library of Yogyakarta State Univesity, formulates; whether or not there is influence of music toward reading convenience of the Library user of Languages and Arts Faculty of Yogyakarta State University. It is believed that the reading convenience is very important in making the readers relaxed and concentrated that they can achieve their goal through reading activity. The objectives of this rearch are to find whether or not there is influence of music toward reading convenience and the extent to which the influence for the readers. To achieve these objectives, some instruments of study used to collect the data are questionaire, interview, observation, literature study and written report issued by the library of Faculty of Languages and Arts of Yogyakarta State University in. in this research, the method used is qualitative method in which the data are qualitified to make the calculation easier. The nature of the research is causative correlation. The formula used product moment correlation coefficient to test hipotesa, and continued with analysis of regresi to calculate the extent to which the influence between the two variables. The conclusion of this researh is that there is a significant influence of music toward reading conveniend of the library user of Languages and Arts Faculty of Yogyakarta State University indicated by the correlation coefficient of 0,389 with sgnificance level of 5 %. In addition, the determination correlation is 0,151. showing a substantial and significant influence between the two variabels, so that Ha stating that there is a positive and significant influence of music toward reading convenience of the library user of Languages and Arts Faculty of Yogyakarta State University is accepted. The degree of influence caused by music toward reading convenience is 15,1 % and the rest is caused by other factors.
