Abstract

The fast and accurate information is the essential since empowering human in their activity. The data and the information is required to be accessed efficiently and the effectively for some purposes. Unfortunately, senior high Scholl in Bantul still uses the traditional ways, the paper documentation and the mapping analog. Regarding to this matter the usage of Quantum GIS as the mapping information system can be the best choice to arrange the data systematically. In this research, the writer regards the standard SDLC (system Developments Life Cycle) regarding to the waterfall model or sequential Linear Model such as the analysis, the design, the implementation, the test, and the maintenance. Then, the software choice is Quantum GIS. It is the SIG software which deals with the basic open source and free access to manage the geospatial and the framework of software leaflet displayed in the digital web. The result, the mapping system is succeeded to support the educational process for the official senior of education for the data managements and the needed information at the form of mapping information easily to access trough internet service. Hence, the users, every sub districts, are empowered to organize the data of senior high school in Bantul regency. According to 10 respondents, they convince that the system is surely useful to apply.
