Abstract
Istikhana Nurulhuda. 11210093. Islamic construction site in Online media ( Framing analysis in Republika online and Kompas.com in March – April 2015). Final Project Yogyakarta. Communication and Dakwah Faculty UIN Sunan Kalijaga 2016. The blockade of 22 Islamic sites done by Ministry of Communication and Informatics on March 30th, 2015 brings many arguments from the society. There are pro and contra. The decision of the blockade of 22 Islamic sites becomes the top issue in some medias, online media is one of them. Besides the pro and contra of the blockade of Islamic sites, there is another great issue, the cause of the Islamic sites blockade. This research aims to know the news construction of Islamic sites blockade in online media through news framing analysis in Republika online and Kompas.com in the period of March 30th 2015until April 7th 2015 by using Robert N Entman Framing Analysis. The data collecting method is done by documentation technique. Data analysisng method is done through Robert N Entman Framing model analysis; they are Define Problem, Diagnosis Causes, Make Moral Judgement, and Treatment Recommendation. There are 13 news that have been analyzed in this research. 7 news are taken from Republika online and 6 news are taken from kompas.com. After doing the analysis, it can be concluded that both online media framed with different point of view. Republika online is contra with the government, while kompas.com supports the government dealing with the blockade of the Islamic sites.
