Abstract

This research aims to determine the perception of urban and rural communities in the town of Batu Bara against Islamic banking. There are several factors that influence the perception, among others: the socialization of Islamic banking, religious influence, and knowledge of Islamic banking. This research uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. Object of research include urban and rural communities in the town of Batu Bara. This research used random sampling as 100. The results of the simultaneous test research in urban and rural communities in Batu Bara district can be seen from the results of the determination test and It is known that the size of Adjusted R Square or the ability of socialization (X1), religious (X2) and knowledge (X3) factors, in explaining or predicting community perception variables on Islamic banking in Batu Bara Regency. In the Coal community, it is 0.647 or 64.7%. This means that the independent variables can predict the variation of the dependent variable in the Coal community by 64.7%, and the rest (100% - 64.7% = 35.3%) explained by other factors
