Abstract

By pressing the high aggressive behavior phenomena youth to their middle now, education is one of the hope for entrenched great generation in their attitude, knowledge and behavior. There are many factors that can influence aggressive behavior, one of them is religious belief who be a shield of aggressive behavior. This study aims to determine the relationship between Aqidah and the aggressive behavior. As for the population of the study was conducted in grade XI Students Of Muhammadiyah 3 High School Yogyakarta by involving a sample of 71 students. The sample was taken by using cluster random sampling technique. This study used Hario(2020) Aqidah‟s scale with an alpha coeffiecient = 0,944 and used Nanda Budhi (2017) aggressive behavior”s scale with an alpha coeffiecient = 0,826. Correlation test was performed using pearson correlation technique. The result of the study showed that there was a significant negative relationship between Aqidah and the aggressive behavior. It can be seen from the pearson correlation coefficient value = -0,579 and the significance value (p) = 0,000 (p < 0,05). The effective contribution given to the variable of Aqidah to the variable aggressive behavior is known in the R Square index = 0,335 (33,5%), while the remaining 66,5% is influenced by other factors.
