Abstract
Beef cattle is a commodity in livestock that is needed by Indonesian people. In order to increase beef cattle productivity, calculating cow's weight is one of the important processes to determine cow's weight before it is sold on the market. By utilizing technological developments, the researchers developed an android application as a solution for farmers in calculating the weight of beef cattle effectively and efficiently. In this research, an information system for calculating cow's weight with the center of gravity was developed. The system data processing method will use the Canny Edge method and the center of gravity, and the Waterfall method as a method for developing the system. This method was chosen because it is simple and has sequential flow. The results of this study are an information system that is able to display cow weights effectively and efficiently. This is based on the average difference in the original weight of cattle with an application count of 6.88%. This conclusion is based on the test results that 31% of respondents agreed, 49% of respondents strongly agreed, 19% of respondents stated neutral, 1% of respondents stated disagree and 0% of respondents strongly disagreed.
