Abstract

Return and risk ae two essential trade-off that every investor should consider to maximize their profit. In investment, the higher the return, the higher the risk. As the demand for Islamic stocks and gold are glowing, investors tend to opt for a high rate of return yet has relatively low risk to generate maximum profits. This Research focuses on providing an overviews in analyzing and comparing the return and risk of Islamic stock, in this case, Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) and Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) with gold fromt PT. Aneka Tambang Tbk. Quantitative research is used with secondary data and is analyzed using the GARCH analysis model. The findings result show that there is no difference in the return of Islamic stocks and gold, and there are differences in the risk of Islamic stocks and gold.
