Abstract

Bullying is a problem that often occurs in adolescence and can cause negative impactst, both psychologically and phisically. However, there are people who are able to withstand these negative impacts with their own resilience abilities. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-esteem and self-compassion on the resilience of adolescent bullied victims. This research used a correlational quantitative approach. The sample used was 107 Sleman adolescents who had experienced bullying. This study used purposive sampling as a sampling technique. The instrumental research used were Scales of Resilience, Self-Esteem and Self-Compassion. The data analysis method used were multiple regression. The results showed a significance value of 0.000 (p<0.05) with an F value of 45,336. Thus, the hypothesis is accepted, which means that there is a relationship between self-esteem and self-compassion on the resilience of adolencent victims of bullying in Sleman, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. The effective contribution given by self-esteem and selfcompassion to the resilience was 46.6%.
