Abstract

This research was motivated by the importance of standard measurement of grain moisture. This research aimed to characterize, design, test and manufacture a grain moisture meter with arduino uno based capacitive sensor V1.2. This research was carried out in four stages, namely characterize, designing the system, manufacturing the system, and testing the performance of system. The characterize was collected by searching for transfer fuction. The system was designed using Fritzing software, while it was manufactured by preparing the tools and materials, designing the components, and checking them in accordance with the design. The system was tested by comparing data from the grain moisture meter with arduino uno based capacitive sensor V1.2 and the standard oven-based test of grain moisture measurement which was retrieved 10 times. The grain moisture meter with arduino uno based capacitive sensor V1.2 was successfully designed and manufactured. It has a great performance with an accuracy of 99.9946% and a precission (repeatability) of 99,0740%.
