Abstract

Unemployment is a problem that continues to accumulate so that it increases from year to year. The problem of unemployment is not only in the narrowing of the world of work, but also the low quality of our human resources (HR). For this reason, an institution engaged in job training was formed called the UPTD Job Training Center. Job training center is one of the training institutions established to improve the quality of the workforce, by participating in this training participants can hone the skills of participants in the majors of interest. This training is expected to create a qualified workforce so that they can compete in the world of work. The purpose of this study was to determine the Factors Affecting the Effectiveness of Training in the UPTD of the Kebumen Regency Job Training Center. This research is a qualitative descriptive field research, using data collection techniques of observation, documentation, and interviews. Furthermore, the presentation of data that had previously been analyzed was carried out and tested the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the factors that affect the effectiveness of the UPTD Kebumen Work Training Center are also in line with the factors that affect the effectiveness of the training, namely organizational characteristics seen from competent instructors and having a training background that is in accordance with the current training program, character environment as evidenced by the great interest of the community to take part in the training so that with a great initial willingness to make the training carried out effectively, the character of the workers seen from the employees of the UPTD Kebumen Work Training Center has different characteristics, but their awareness of these differences, the process of achieving the goals of the UPTD for the Job Training Center can still be carried out, as well as management policies and practices. Then other factors are also very influential in overcoming unemployment in Kebumen.
