Abstract

This research was motivated by the change in the learning system instructed by the Minister of Education and Culture to apply distance learning / online at all levels of the education unit as a follow-up to the social restriction policy during the Covid-19 pandemic, this hampered the formation of students' religious character. so that a breakthrough is needed that can bridge the formation of students' religious character when implementing a remote/online learning system. SD INTIS School Yogyakarta which has a vision, mission, and main goal of forming students with religious character to innovate by building and implementing the INTIS e-Learning System as a forum in the process of forming students' religious character during the Covid-19 Pandemic Period. This research is focused on the process, results, and obstacles faced as solutions to overcome obstacles in the formation of the religious character of students based on the INTIS e-Learning System at SD INTIS School Yogyakarta during the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of this study indicate that the process of forming students' religious character based on the INTIS e-Learning System at SD INTIS School Yogyakarta is carried out in three stages, namely: preparation and readiness stages, implementation stages, and evaluation stages. There are nine characters formed which are formed through regular habituation of daily activities and strengthened by programmed activities according to a certain momentum, namely: (1) implementing praying five times, (2) praying before and after carrying out activities, (3) reading Asmaul Husna, (4) praying Duha prayer, (5) reading the Koran, (6) bathing and wearing uniform, (7) learning/adding memorization, and (8) doing assignments from the teacher. The main obstacles faced include: lack of cooperation between parents and teachers, limited preparation time, and lack of socialization related to the system of forming students' religious character that is applied.
