Abstract

The impact of the emergence of Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19), especially in Indonesia, has a systemic impact on all aspects of activities, including in the world of education. Various efforts have been made by the government in handling this virus outbreak by issuing several policies such as self-isolation, social and physical distancing to large-scale social restrictions (PSBB). This policy ultimately has a major impact on the learning process carried out during the current Covid-19 pandemic. Thus changing the direction of the learning process in Indonesia, which initially carried out face-to-face/offline learning to online/network learning. This is what underlies the researchers to conduct research on the SKI learning process, namely by developing learning media in the form of a digital Independent Learning Activity Unit (UKBM) for Islamic Cultural History (SKI) Class VIII at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 6 Bantul. This research is a development research (R & D). The population of this study were students of class VIII MTs N 6 Bantul Yogyakarta. Determination of the sample using random sampling technique. Based on this technique, 37 students of class VIII were obtained as test subjects. The data collection technique used a questionnaire in the form of a questionnaire that had to be filled out by the teacher in charge of SKI subjects, IT madrasas and students after using the learning media. Before being tested, the learning media went through the media validation stage and material validation by media experts and material experts. The data analysis technique used descriptive qualitative, by transforming qualitative data into quantitative data. This study aims to describe the stages of developing learning media in the form of a digital Independent Learning Activity Unit (UKBM), to describe the quality of learning media developed in the form of a digital UKBM and to describe the responses of teachers and students to the use of learning media in the form of a digital UKBM for SKI subjects. The results of this study are the Learning Media of the Digital Independent Learning Activity Unit (UKBM) Islamic Cultural History (SKI) Class VIII Material Daulah Mamluk. The stages in the development of this media use a development model (ADDIE), namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of this study consist of two aspects, namely the quality of the media and user responses. In the aspect of media quality, the assessment is carried out by media experts and material experts. In the aspect of user responses, the assessment is carried out by SKI and IT madrasa teachers and students. Assessment by media experts get a percentage of 93%. Assessment by material experts get a percentage of 93%. Assessment by subject teachers get a percentage of 87%. The assessment by the madrasa IT expert received an assessment of 96%. Assessment by students get a percentage of 65.5%. The overall rating average is 91%. The results of this study prove that the SKI digital UKBM learning media is very feasible to use based on validation tests by material experts and media experts.
