Abstract

In preventing the spread of Covid-19, it is necessary to have a thorough awareness of the virus and its effects on all elements, especially the public. This study aims to measure and determine the impact of @amrazing influencers' digital storytelling as persuasive communication concerning averting the Covid-19 pandemic on Instagram followers' empathic behavior. The method used in this study was quantitative, and it used IBM SPSS version 26 software to determine the strength of the influence of digital storytelling as persuasive communication on followers' attitudes of empathic behavior. Researchers used questionnaire collecting data approaches to obtain primary data sources, with 100 Instagram account followers @amrazing participating as respondents in an online survey created using Google Forms. The social assessment theory created by Muzafer Sherif is used to evaluate the attitude of empathic behavior among Instagram followers @amrazing. According to Muzafer Sherif, an individual's attitude toward a certain social object or issue is the consequence of the individual's cognitive process about the topic in question, which is the process of considering the subject or aim from each individual's perspective. With a correlation value of 0.904 between the two variables, the results showed that digital storytelling as a persuasive communication can have a significant effect of 81.8 % on the empathic behavior of @amrazing Instagram followers. The @amrazing Instagram account, Influencers, and public figures are expected to use this research as a resource for review, input, and consideration in taking out and provide more insight and knowledge to followers and others.
