Abstract

The Syubbanul Muslimin Assembly is an assembly like in general, but there are some differences with other assemblies. Syubbanul Muslimin was established as an assembly in 2005. Born from young people who do not have a background in the religious field. Syubbanul Muslimin is an assembly that focuses its activities on young people or the younger generation. The Syubbanul Muslimin Assembly is growing and is well received by the people of Probolinggo, not only in the city but even across the archipelago and internationally. The Syubbanul Muslimin Council carries out da'wah, education and social movements. This research focuses on the history and movement of the Muslim Syubbanul Assembly, especially in Probolinggo. The formulation of the research problem is what is the general description of the research location?, how is the historical procession of the Syubbanul Muslimin Council?, what are the activities of the Syubbanul Muslimin Council?. This research uses a sociological approach. The approach is used to examine the Syubbanul Muslimin Council which has a common interest and goal. The theory used is the theory of social movement proposed by David Jary and Julia Jary that social movement is a board social alliance of related people in an effort to influence or hinder aspects of social change in a society. The definition emphasizes that a social movement occurs because there is a group that moves to take real actions in a society. The research method used is heuristics, collecting sources through literature review and interviews. Then do verification, interpretation, and historiography. The results of this study, firstly, Probolinggo itself is directly adjacent to the Madura Strait, therefore Probolinggo is also often used as a transit point. Probolinggo itself has quite a lot of cultural wealth that is diverse in customs, traditions and arts. Second, the Syubbanul Muslimin Council was born from an anxiety that occurred against the promiscuity of the younger generation. It was started by 40 youths who took part in establishing the assembly, and even then, they were taught door-to-door. It was not until 2005 that the assembly had a name called Syubbanul Muslimin. After having the progress of Khadimul, the assembly rearranged the existing order in the assembly to be more structured by forming a team to be better prepared to face developments. Third, the Syubbanul Muslimin Council does not only carry out da'wah activities through the stage, but the assembly also carries out social activities. social activities carried out by the assembly such as building mosques, madrasas in areas far from educational places, providing assistance to people in need, currently the assembly focuses on building drug rehabilitation in order to provide a decent and comfortable place.
