Abstract

The enthusiasm of the people is very high to do hajj. Every year, the number of hajj pilgrims is increasing. This has an impact on increasing Hajj funds. The Hajj Fund Management Agency (BPKH), as an institution in charge of managing Hajj funds, is assigned to manage and invest the funds, to get optimal benefits. In investing, BPKH will certainly face various risks. The purpose of this study is to describe Risk Management applied by the Hajj Fund Management Agency (BPKH) in managing Hajj funds. The approach of this study is qualitative, and the data used is primary data of the BPKH and the BPKH member interview results, while secondary data is from books, journals, and writings. The results showed that to mitigate risk, there are several Risk Management Policies implemented by BPKH including, Exchange Rate Risk Policy, Liquidity Risk Policy, Default Risk Policy, and Legal Risk Policy.
