Abstract

Thesis this study about authority religious traditional and Covid-19 pandemic, with studies case Religious teacher Das'ad Latif. The thesis contributes to the discussion about authority religious traditional meet with new media. Study this is studies qualitative with to do data collection using the method netnography, namely the data collected through online data browsing and observation of participants online. Studies show that the rising popularity of Religious teacher Das'ad Latif as dai in Indonesia is related to the role in disseminating awareness Public related importance guard health in the time of Covid-19, through various momentum of his lectures uploaded on social media, especially on Youtube. About this, in line with the policy government and the fatwa issued by Assembly Indonesian Ulemas (MUI) on guidelines worship in situation Covid-19 pandemic, as an effort to mitigate deployment coronavirus outbreak. Religious teacher Das'ad Latif in context of Covid-19 pandemic, as part of authority religious from circle authority religious traditional too _ met by with new media, show that authority traditional still play a role important in coloring discourse religion in Indonesia.
